MIDGET

What is a Whistling Midget? This is most likely the first question asked when someone encounters the group.

A Whistling Midget is a member of a novelty entertainment group who has his shirt removed, his chest painted to

resemble a face with the bellybutton being the mouth, his head and arms hidden beneath a large hat, a coat and tie

wrapped around his waist ( complete with gloves pinned to the sleeves for the hands). All of this makes this man

look very short in stature and when he gyrates his stomach to a recorded whistling tune, it ends up one of the most

hilarious sights one has ever seen. The Whistling Midgets, as a group, are comprised of four of these very talented,

enterprising, individuals.

The Midgets won first place on " America's Funniest People" in November , 1990. The Midgets have been local T.V. a

number of times as well as performances at EXPO in Vancouver, Canada
